Scientific Name:Anubias barteri
Description
Anubias Barteri (New) is a popular and hardy aquatic plant valued for its resilience and visual appeal. Native to West Africa, this variety features broader, cordate-shaped leaves with pinnate venation. The new type is about twice the size of the older Anubias Barteri, with less pointed tips. It can grow up to 25 cm (10 inches) in height and thrives in a wide range of water conditions, making it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced aquarists. Its adaptability and aesthetic charm make it a versatile and low-maintenance addition to any aquarium setup.
A standout feature of Anubias Barteri is its ability to grow both submerged and emersed, allowing it to adapt to partially out-of-water environments. This adaptability makes it ideal for paludariums and ripariums, which incorporate both aquatic and terrestrial elements. For optimal growth, Anubias Barteri prefers a temperature range of 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F) and a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5.
