Description
Anubias Nana is a small, slow-growing aquatic plant native to West Africa. It features dark green, heart-shaped leaves and pinnate venation and typically reaches a height of 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 inches). Its leaves are thick and resilient, making it less likely to be eaten by herbivorous fish.
Anubias Nana thrives in low-light conditions, making it ideal for tanks with less intense lighting. It prefers temperatures ranging from 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F) and a pH level between 6.0 and 7.5. The plant is usually attached to rocks, driftwood, or other elements using its rhizome.
In addition to its visual appeal, Anubias Nana helps provide oxygen, neutralise pH levels, and maintain water quality. It also creates a natural habitat for snails and fish. Easy to care for, this plant is a great choice for any aquarium.
