Description
Bleheri Swords are known for their striking, vibrant green leaves, which are long, narrow, and lanceolate in shape. The leaves have parallel venation, with veins running alongside each other, and slightly wavy edges. Their smooth, glossy surface adds to their appeal, making them a favourite among aquarium enthusiasts. Native to the Amazon River Basin, these sword-like leaves create a lush underwater landscape, providing a great habitat for aquatic creatures. They are easy to maintain and grow robustly, typically reaching 40-50 cm (16-20 inches) in height, making them ideal for smaller tanks or as midground plants in larger aquariums.
These plants are relatively easy to care for, making them an excellent option for both novice and experienced aquarists. Bleheri Swords prefer a temperature range of 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F) and a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5. They flourish with proper lighting, a nutrient-rich substrate, and regular maintenance. When well cared for, Bleheri Swords can grow to impressive heights, transforming your aquarium into a verdant underwater garden.
