Scientific Name:Anubias barteri var. paco
Description
Anubias Paco is a popular aquatic plant known for its durability and vibrant green, rounded, ruffled leaves with prominent veins. Favoured by aquarists for its minimal maintenance needs, this plant thrives in various conditions, making it ideal for both novice and experienced enthusiasts. Its slow growth rate prevents it from overtaking the tank, and its tolerance for low light levels allows it to prosper even in suboptimal lighting, adding beauty and resilience to any aquarium setup.
Typically growing to a height of about 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 inches), Anubias Paco can be anchored to rocks, driftwood, or planted in the substrate. For optimal growth, it prefers a temperature range of 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F) and a pH level between 6.5 and 7.5. Beyond its visual appeal, Anubias Paco plays a vital role in an aquarium's ecosystem. It offers shelter and hiding places for small fish and invertebrates, promoting a balanced and healthy environment. Additionally, the plant’s broad leaves help absorb nitrates, enhancing water quality and benefiting the tank's overall health.
