Description
Anubias Barteri Old Type is a popular and hardy aquatic plant prized by aquarium enthusiasts for its resilience and visual charm. Native to West Africa, it features smaller, less broad leaves than the new Barteri variety, with elongated, pointed, and pinnate-venation leaves that can grow up to 25 cm in height. Thriving in a variety of water conditions, it is an excellent choice for both novice and experienced aquarists, offering durability and low-maintenance care in diverse aquarium setups.
This versatile plant can be grown fully submerged or partially emersed, and it easily attaches to rocks, driftwood, or other surfaces in the aquarium. It prefers a temperature range of 22°C to 28°C (72°F to 82°F) and a pH range of 5.5 to 9.0. With its slow growth rate, Anubias Barteri requires minimal maintenance while improving water quality by absorbing nutrients. In addition to enhancing the aquarium’s aesthetics, it provides essential shelter and hiding spots for fish, promoting a healthy aquatic environment.
